    Wandered around Old Quebec City the night before my cruise on a warm October day. Ate dinner at Restaurant Le Saint-Amour.

    Embarkation day on the NCL Gem

    Boarded the NCL Gem. Stayed in an outside cabin with a small porthole. Dinner was at my favorite NCL restaurant, Le Bistro.

    Sea Day

    First full day, travelling into the Gulf of St. Lawrence. I joined in on a wine and chocolate pairing class, and had my stateroom decorated for my birthday.

    Skipped the usual Anne of Green Gables excursions in favor of exploring Charlottetown and joining in on a bar crawl, which included PEI Mussels.

    The day started with a sleepy Halifax, not yet opened on an early weekday morning, followed by a tour at Peggy's Cove, and finishing up with an Asian dinner aboard the Gem.

    Tendered to Bar Harbor, for a poorly narrated bus tour into Acadia and up Mt. Cadillac, with fogged out views. Came back down and walked around town for chowder and another lobster roll.

    Onboard for a final buffet dinner which included roasted pig.

    Had lots of time to spend in Boston before my flight, and made the most of it walking The Freedom Trail, and stopping at the Boston Tea Party museum and aquarium.
